This course is designed for someone just getting started in their team roping journey. I aim to provide a step by step process to get you from learning the parts of the rope, to building a loop correctly, showing you the correct way to swing, to mastering the ground work on the dummy so there is a solid foundation when you move on to roping horseback.

The Basics of Horsemanship

You've learned the basics of roping the dummy on the ground, now its time to put those skills to work horseback. This course covers proper tack selection, saddle fitting, horsemanship drills with and without cattle, and getting you to the point of turning steers and making live runs. I've tried my best to leave no stone unturned and hopefully answer all the questions you have about taking your roping to the next step.
